We are currently looking at employing another 2 support engineers to join our existing team.
Experience:
Due to the level of staff we are employing and are looking for candidates that have 3 – 5 years working experience with the following:
1. Microsoft Small Business 2003, 2008 and 2011 - Installation, maintenance and troubleshooting
2. Administration of Microsoft Small Business and standalone networks
3. Network and Router configuration - ADSL, VPN, Wireless
4. Desktop support – Troubleshooting, Installation, Assembly
Other experience which would be beneficial but not essential include:
1. Visualization using Hyper-V
2. Linux
3. Microsoft SQL
4. Firewall Knowledge – Linux and/or ISA
Candidates would also need a valid driving license and own roadworthy vehicle.
Strong communication skills and presentableness are also expected.
Qualifications:
Any related Microsoft Qualifications (MCITP, MCSE) would be applicable and a copy of the candidates MCP transcript should be attached to the application.
Main Tasks:
Candidates would be based in our offices but would be out the majority of the day at customer sites. Some but not all of the tasks required would be:
1. Troubleshooting of various IT related issues ranging from server, desktop or network
2. Planning of and installation of new IT infrastructure at clients premises.
3. Ensuring SLA standards are met and being a client liaison
4. Communicating with clients – In person, telephonically and via electronic email
5. Proactive Maintenance
Remuneration:
We offer a competitive market related salary including medical aid and travel allowance. Remuneration would vary based on candidates’ previous experience and hands-on ability.
